Book chapter Electromagnetic inductive techniques
The book summarizes some of the most significant and original scientific work carried out by members of the Algerian community of the Research Network in Inductics. The themes developed in this book relate to Inductics, one discipline of Electrical Engineering based on innovative applications of electricity, namely the transfer of energy without contact, therefore non-polluting. The book is aimed at researchers, academics as well as doctoral and Master students, wishing to deepen their knowledge on theoretical aspects and numerical modeling of the low frequency electromagnetic devices. The aspects characterization and non-destructive testing of materials also constitute an important part of the studies contained in this book. The applications range from the design of converters of frequency (power supply and control), or energy (case of induction heating, etc.) to the study of eddy current Characterization, Evaluation and Non- Destructive Testing, including modeling of the device and the constituent materials such as magnetic ones, conductors or carbon fiber composites. The book is made up of four types of subjects : I. Modeling Techniques (2 chapters) II. Non Destructive Testing (5 chapters) III. Material Characterization (4 chapters) IV. Converter and Induction Heating (2 chapters)
