This organic chemistry book, entitled "The essentials of organic chemistry - isomerism and reaction mechanisms" aims to facilitate the work of students at L1, L2 or equivalent level to distinguish the net reactions from the elementary steps by identifying their molecule and their appropriate kinetics. The different chapters covered cover the different areas of chemistry covered throughout the first two years of graduate studies. My skills and my pedagogical experience have allowed me to design and write this book that can offer undergraduate students in scientific universities, for each chapter, the essentials in progress, followed by corresponding corrected exercises, in the training of the L.M.D, engineers, medical and biological sciences. The study of isomerism and reaction mechanisms through nomenclature, electronic effects and reaction chemical species, in the first year of medicine, pharmacy and S.N.V, followed by reaction mechanisms, allows readers a good understanding and vision of the fundamental concepts of structural biochemistry. The main merit of this manual of organic chemistry lies in the large number of corrected and commented exercises that accompany each of the chapters which should greatly facilitate the assimilation of the course. Thus, when reading each chapter, the student may feel challenged as during the course where the teacher particularly insists on this or that aspect of his oral teaching. This course treatise is presented as an aid for students wishing to get to the point during their learning, or as a "memo" during revision periods. I hope that the reader will be able to benefit from the content and presentation of this book. At the end of the volume, a bibliography includes works that I have consulted and that can be useful to the student wishing to deepen his knowledge. This book has been designed to be useful and accessible to students for the success of their exams. I look forward to comments and suggestions from both my colleagues and students.
